"No win no fee" lawyers work on a contingency basis.

That means they'll take your case if it looks like you can win big money from it, b/c they get a cut.

There is no "big money" involved here.

Unfortunately, in this economy, that may not be likely. I know an attorney there by the name of Jeffery Leving. He's a pompous a**, but he knows fathers rights. As for paying on a child that is not his, that is fairly common. In 20 states, child support cannot be stopped once it is started, regardless of paternity. In January, the news reported on a 21 year old male who was hit with an arrears order for child support for his 15 year old daughter. Think he got a woman pregnant at age 6?

In 27 states, it cannot be stopped after 24 months. Yeah, it's a big problem. Here's some links to help.

To learn a father's rights, join Dads House in Yahoo Groups. It's free to join, access all materials, and you associate with other fathers going through, and have already gone through, the same issues. We have an Educational Manual that teaches everything that needs to be known in addressing your legal issues. Mention your question here when asked why you want to join, as well as your state?
